Al-Taj News – Jordan welcomed on Friday the presidential statement issued by the Security Council, in which it condemned the attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia on Saudi Arabia, including attacks on civilians, civilian objects, airports, and energy infrastructure, as well as the ongoing threats to the security and safety of maritime navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed the importance of the statement, which stressed the need for the full implementation of Security Council Resolution No. 2216 of 2015 and subsequent relevant resolutions, and called for strengthening international cooperation to prevent the Houthi militia from obtaining weapons and other forms of support.
The Ministry reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of the Houthi militia’s attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, considering them a flagrant violation of its sovereignty, a threat to its security and stability, and a blatant breach of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
